IV Sedation
For optimal safety and efficiency, Dr. Greenfield partners with an anesthesiologist to provide IV sedation in our on-site surgical suite. IV, or intravenous, sedation involves administering anesthesia into the blood stream through an IV. This procedure is ideal for the highly anxious or fearful patient, those who do not respond well to traditional anesthesia, or patients who require many dental procedures in as little time as possible.
During IV sedation, our anesthesiologist will monitor your comfort, providing as much anesthesia as necessary to keep you completely comfortable. Few people remember the sights, sounds, or procedure following IV sedation. We will also use contemporary tools to monitor your vital signs, so you can enjoy peace of mind before your procedure, knowing that you’re in good hands.
