CEREC Restoration
Dr. Greenfield will recommend CEREC restoration for a tooth damaged by extensive decay or fracture. In the past, a crown required an onlay or inlay, and two visits to the dentist. However, we practice state-of-the-art dental care! In a single visit, you can receive a custom-milled, tooth-colored ceramic restoration. This is possible with CEREC CAD/CAM technology.
CEREC is an innovative in-office milling system that fabricates ceramic restorations based on digital imaging. After preparing your tooth, Dr. Greenfield will take digital images and create a custom ceramic restoration to precisely fit your bite (how upper and lower teeth fit together). He can mill and secure the ceramic restoration in the same visit.
You won’t have to wear a temporary restoration, which may fall out or break off. Instead, you’ll leave your visit with a strong, beautiful restoration that blends seamlessly with your smile and feels like a natural tooth.
